No SNF game on week 17. Your take?

With no clear cut winner take all game with the same stakes for both teams in week 17 as a result of certain games going the way they did (Most notably, ATL/JAX/TEN losing and Carolina winning), there will be no Sunday Night game on NBC for week 17 since there is no game with straight up playoff implications for both ways.

So, they changed things and moved a majority of the games with stakes to the late timeslot, resulting in NINE late afternoon games.

And thus for the first time since 1986, the last Sunday of the NFL season will have no Sunday night games. And for the first time since 1977, no primetime games to close out the regular season.

Plus, throw in the fact it's New Year's Eve......
