Imagine the meltdown in Packerland if Gutes had traded the 12th overall pick in the draft and two more future 1st along with a 3rd for a deal sweetener to draft Lance.

Packer fans have lost their **** for the last three years over Gutes using a 4th rounder to trade up to land Love.

No question, Gute should have traded the 3rd rounder because we suck at 3rd round picks. Giving up the 4th rounder probably cost us getting a future all-pro-offensive lineman.

Took one look at all the hand signals he had to learn and just quit the whole game

Davis: *runs out route 6" too deep in practice*

Rodgers: *spikes football at Dvis' feet, glares at him for 30 seconds*

Davis: " alright, f this, see everyone except this jerk later"

Ambiguous LB/S is the most common and least useful hybrid player IMO.  All those guys fail without a specific plan for what you're going to do with them tailored to their strengths.

But the Cardinals seem dead-set on getting the #1 or #2 pick next spring and either replacing Murray or auctioning it to someone who needs a QB (a la the Bears.)

The highest paid TE in APY (Waller) makes less than the 16th highest paid WR. Reseting the TE market is not such a big deal, it means making Christian Kirk money.

Kittle's last contract was 5YR/75M with 40M guaranteed.  What does resetting the market look like from a guaranteed money standpoint?  That's what actually matters.  I wouldn't be interested in paying 45M+ guaranteed to a player who's injured as often as Hockenson.

Hockenson is a good player, but he's not market reset/historic contract good.

100% agree with this statement, but watch. As history has shown us it's not the best TE who gets the biggest deal, it's the next one who is decent at any given position. Happening with other positions all around the league.

Hockenson is going to get a very big payday. The Vikings have shown they are not opposed to large portions of contracts being guaranteed.

Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy carted off with "moderate" hamstring injury.  Week 1 status in doubt.

Quote

Jeudy pulled up during an end-around run, grabbing what appeared to be his hamstring, per multiple reporters on the scene. According to NFL Network's James Palmer, Jeudy looked visibly upset as he was helped to the cart to exit the field. The wideout also needed help getting off the cart to enter the facility.

They would have to replace Murray with Caleb Williams in a heartbeat. That may be one of only a few organizations who would be able to turn Williams into a bust.
