The NFC North instead of the NFC South and first place instead of last place schedule makes things much more difficult on them on paper IMO. Not sure if this is the year they truly challenge the big boys like the Chiefs and Ravens, but that gap is a lot closer this year than it was last year. They did quite a bit to improve their team this off-season, have a good coach, and it's year 2 for Stroud. Cowboys are a fading team. I think they blow it all up after this season (Mac gone, Prescott too).

For the media conglomerates, it's simple math more than trying to convince anyone. Cowboys have a lot of fans, Big Bang Theory had a lot of viewers. Cater your message to please those groups and watch the dollars come in.

Well you see, some questionable sports writers like to make controversial statements to increase their clicks because they desire the attention. The Cowboys are a national team that the majority of NFL fans have a strong opinion of either positive or negative. Add that the team was a high seed in the playoffs last year and you have your “justification” for your ridiculous clickbait ranking. how’d I do?

I’m surprised no one has said anything about the Eagles being at 5, did anyone watch the second half of the season last year? Yes they added Saquon but they also lost Cox and Kelce. This is banking on the Eagles are the 2022 team and not 2023. Or the Miami Dolphins, they only lost their top 2 defenders in Xavien Howard, and Christian Wilkens as well a collection of other starters as they tried to get under the cap.

The Jags already have $60 million committed to pass catchers in 2025 with no cheap cuts, could you imagine adding another $25 million to that on top of a needed Lawrence extension?
