The Gnat
What I saw on Twitter, the Indians bench coach Brad Mills was someone that they may have been thinking about had they been able to move on from Molitor last year.
The Gnat
An unsurprising part of the story: I think that's smart, seeing as he's part of St. Paul and Minnesota's history. I hope he stays around, because I know he's some of the reason why base running has been better as of late, though not this year.
PrplChilPill
I'd think that might be awkward for the new manager.....but I could be wrong on that. It's probably the right move, but the key is the replacement.....

I don't think it would be that awkward, most likely Molitor would be doing like Hunter/Morneau/Cuddyer/Hawkins are doing where they help in spring training and then bounce around the minors helping there. He won't be doing much with the major league team, that would be my guess.
SemperFeist
Not surprising. I was happy when they hired Moliter, but he was never the manager that I thought he’d be.

Yeah that's pretty much where I'm at with this.

This will allow him to do what I thought he was more comfortable doing...and that's being a roving instructor.
Klomp
Managing your 2019 Minnesota Twins........Joseph Mauer.

If that were to happen, I'd be pounding on the "dislike" button. I want them to completely get away from anything associated with the "Twins Way." It's time for a clean break.

There is some truth to it, but it's not completely true. Since the younger Pohlad took over the franchise, things have changed somewhat. But, the style of play that they have built over the last 20+ years (the "Twins' Way" that I'm referring to) clearly doesn't win anymore. If you believe that a change in ownership will affect their ability to attract free agents, then you're mistaken. A simple ownership change doesn't change that...that requires a complete economic restructuring of the entire sport.
VikeManDan
http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/24883537/wild-send-d-man-olofsson-canadiens-prospect-bitten?ex_cid=espnapi_public Not sure Olofsson was going to be more then a 6th/7th D, at best, here. Nice to get a right-shot prospect in the system. I don't believe we have very many of those.
swede700
Shouldn't it be "Was" Bitten?

wcblack34
I'm going to be in Europe for about 7 weeks from Nov-January. I don't really have an itinerary and I want to see a good professional soccer match. Champions League, Bundesliga or Serie A? Any thoughts?
