swede700
This explains quite a bit about the situation when Harbaugh interviewed for the Vikings' job. It probably turned out for the best, but not exactly how I would have liked it to.

If a team has all current starters signed, its good. If not, one would have to estimate the cost of bringing those guys back or replacements before it even begins to seem useful. The effective cap space is defined as follows: Quote Effective Cap Space: the cap space a team will have after signing at least 51 players and its projected rookie class to its roster. Right now, the Vikings have 39 players signed for 2024. They would need to sign at least 12 players and a rookie class. They project that the Vikings will effectively have $37.5M in cap space after signing all those. Obviously it will be less if they intend on resigning guys like Danielle and Kirk. JDBrocks
Kwesi addressed the media today (starts at about 11:15 into the video). I liked his answers and I feel very confident in him as a GM going forward.
ArcticNorseman
Not sure anyone forecast this, but at the halfway point in the 2023 season, the only rookie QBs not to start a regular season game are Hendon Hooker, Jake Haener, Stetson Bennett, Max Duggan, and Sean Clifford. 8 Rookie QBs are, or have, started games this year. That 61.5% of QBs drafted in 2023 . . . Has this ever happened at that rate?
