2018 Free Agency - Prospects for GB

Eagles are pretty tight on the cap, even with the potential cut of Vinny Curry. They are also tight in 2019 as well. Currently, they have a surplus of CBs with Sydney Jones coming back - a 2nd rounder from 2017 draft. The Eagles are also without a 2nd or 3rd rounder this year and are looking to recoup some draft capital

They might be shopping Ronald Darby for a pick.  He's in the final year of his rookie deal, so he's cheap in 2018 and you'd have to find a way to extend him as part of the trade. Came across an article suggesting he might be traded before the draft. Qualifies as a vet CB

Darby ran a 4.38 at the 2015 combine so he can fly, no clue if he's any good at press coverage

"Lack of on-ball production tied to quarterbacks avoiding him"

"Ducks head as tackler and prefers to hit with helmet over wrapping up against running backs"

Darby's #31 right? If so - then he's a sucker for a double move. Cant cover it.

I would love for us to take a look at TE Trey Burton if infact the Eagles cut him. Hes only 26 years old and had a pretty damn good year considering he was behind Ertz and Celek. This is not a strong TE draft and few hit the ground running. Burton could be a great addition to a weak area without breaking the bank.

You'd better draft that note to Burton's agent. They know the market and have already rejected the Eagles initial offer as " not serious"

He'll get $8 Million/yr  or more, that's not chump change

“Hopefully I can play a couple more years,” Nelson said. “I think three would be my max. In this business, it all depends on the team and what they want to do. I know I’m excited about playing next year, but I’m looking forward to going back to the farm, too. It’s a great way to raise a family.”

Jordy is again reiterating that he wants to play 2-3 more seasons.. I think a restructure with another season or two added on is imminent.
