Houston makes one Final Four, on the backs of double digit seeds at each stop, and now they some juggernaut lol

People just really underestimate how good Duren and Bates are, like these two could be the best freshman duo in the last two decades.

There isn't a program in the country that would hire Sampson over Beard.

LOL? Sampson had NBA teams looking to hire him as HC before he signed his extension last year but college basketball teams wouldnt want to hire him? OK

Chris Beard had way more success at Tech then Sampson has had at Houston. And he was just hired by Texas and is one of the highest paid coaches in college basketball.

I think they'll be good but definitely not nearly as good as they were last season. They don't have a point guard.

He’s not cutting any nets at Memphis. Amirite @Texansfan713

Oregon is already a fringe top 10 team coming into the season, adding Bates would certainly push them to around #5/#6. If Emoni is smart he'd definitely avoid Memphis so he doesn't have to get strapped by Houston.

But in reality Oregon is the best destination for him if he can't enter the 2022 draft. Duren will be a one-n-done and Memphis 2022 class isn't very good, does he really want to stay there for 2 years? The only way Memphis would make sense is if his plan is to play there for a year then play in the G-League for a year.

If he goes to Oregon they'll be a national title contender this year and next year. Quincy Guerrier, De'Vion Harmon, and Bittle will all be back in 2022 and they already have Dior Johnson and Kel'el Ware committed in their 2022 class.

A lineup of:

Johnson - Harmon - Guerrier - Bates - Bittle

Could legit be the #1 team in college basketball in Bates sophomore year. And could honestly be the first team since Florida to win back to back national championships.

Not to mention they added Larry Brown coaching staff

This is also so insane, how did Penny convince him to join his staff as an assistant? The man is the only coach in history to win an NBA championship and a national championship. Also has two Gold medals, lol. He's probably going to be the head coach and Penny is just the face of the program to bring in recruits.
