Doesn't have great instincts and gets washed out fairly easily vs the run.
TonOfDepth
If we trade down, I think Mattison would be a good RB to select in the 5th/6th round. Thick kid with good lateral movement, Ajayi/Blount type of runner. Same college as Ajayi. I like Jacobs In the 1st though. Stay away from LJ Collier for late DLs. Don’t see the hype. Joe Jackson is pretty meh in every aspect of his game, don’t get the 2/3 hype.

I hate to say it but I don't think we'll look at WR at all unless he has some return ability. DL/OL, trade down, trade up if it can secure someone along the DL. I can see RB in the second as well as LB. DJax will be 33 this season. The Phoenix is gone after this year most likely and what young guys have shown they actually have to the ability to be legit NFL WR's? I wouldn't be upset at them taking a WR in this draft at all. I expect the Eagles to make a deal or sign an RB and put themselves in position for BPA. There are lots of positions that could use youth and depth and future replacements but aside from RB right now, so screaming starter needs. So that means RB, WR, OL, DL, LB and S are all on the table for early or late picks in this draft IMO

Graham is locked up and so is Barnett. Long is the wild card. If he comes back he is the third and primary sub. Sweat and Hall have proven nothing, but aren't necessarily worse than what you'd get with a 4 or later. I get the sense Long will return. That means the Eagles would have to ride with Sweat and/or Hall or pick up a camp cut FA. If Long bails then DE becomes a priority. Otherwise, any draft pick is just a challenge to Sweat and Hall. Remember, Sweat was a 4th rounder (130) and Hall a 3rd (77). You can't just expect that a lower pick will beat them out. That means spending a 1 or 2 on DE which makes sense if Long does not return. However, if he does, I can't see a DE before round 5 (Shareef Miller, Carl Granderson, et al.). Oh, and they do have Joe Ostman. At the same time, the Eagles need to add a DT. Cox and Jackson start and then there's Hester and Hector. That is booty for depth. They probably need to draft two DT's. It is much more a priority than DE. Rashan Gary would be ideal as he gives you a little of both and then you just add a later pick ie. Renell Wren. But, you can't count on that. On the plus side, Barnett's pedestrian sack numbers fall in line with many of the better rushers in their earlier years. Take any year's 10 top sack producers and trace them back to their first seasons and you'll find that three sacks isn't a bad posting. I've seen his play and projects to be a menace, injuries aside.
