Dunno. But he's not retiring today.

Where are you going to get 3 or 4 talented starters? Moreover, 3 or 4 talented starters would cost more than one Aaron Donald.

People try to pick apart the logic on hypothetical situations and it's just like 9_9

Yeah. If I'm 1st in my class at medical school you can bet that I will likely be a doctor in the future. Still doesn't make me a Dr. today. Donald is probably going to be 1st ballot. I wouldn't let him remove my kidney though.

I didn’t know they had hospitals in Clev.

If Matt Ryan (who is a product of Julio Jones) can get $30 million/yr then Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack definitely deserve to be in the $24-25 million/yr range.

Julio Jones needs Matt Ryan more than Matt Ryan needs Julio. He was a good quarterback before he arrived.

Edge rusher is probably the second most important position after QB. Still, they don't come close to being able to carry a team like a QB does.

You claimed you can get three very good starters for $8 million per year. That ain't happening in 2018.

Now you just sound like you're backtracking.  It's a perfect legitimate challenge to make given that, by definition, a hypothesis is a supposition made off of limited evidence for the purposes of further investigation.  If you don't want people wanting to see the limited evidence you're supposing on or further investigating the supposition you're making, I'd suggest you probably ought to steer clear of suggesting hypothetical situations.

I'll use some examples then, no rookie contracts and they have to be within the top 15 players paid at their position so I can't just cherry pick.

https://www.spotrac.com/redirect/player/14514/ Devonta Freeman, Very good RB at 8,250,000/yr.

https://www.spotrac.com/redirect/player/12316/ Zach Ertz, Very good TE at 8,500,000/yr.

https://www.spotrac.com/redirect/player/14444/ Joel Bitonio, Very good G at 8,500,000/yr

At roughly the 24-25 million Aaron Donald is supposedly getting.

The whole point of a hypothetical is a "what if" it's an unlikely event you'd have to choose between *Insert 3 very good players* or Aaron Donald. I'll take the 3 random players since they will overall have a bigger impact than one player.

None of those players were signed in 2018, and none of those players play on the defensive line. I'm also not sold that those three players do have a bigger impact than Aaron Donald.

Tbh, I would probably rather have Donald than those 3
