Not only are they being overhyped but they now have the one player who normally chirps, is chirping at the wrong time. I wonder how he feels about his own QB Bortles? People around the league make jokes about Bortles. If he is man enough he would say how he truly feels about Bortles. Shouldnt he say Bortles suck too? I think this season the Jaguars have a ton of pressure on them. They went (10-6) last season and it took them going on a hot streak towards the end just to get to 10 wins. They won the division without having to deal with Watson or Luck. They got swept by a Titans team who we all can agree wasnt a great team despite making the playoffs and winning a playoff game. Like many have the Jaguars finishing 3rd in the AFC South. I wonder what excuse Ramsey will have if the team finish 3rd in the AFC South and miss the playoffs? Will he say that Bortles suck and the Jaguars need a new QB. How can he make an excuse if the Jaguars lose to those QBs like Flacco, Big Ben, Luck, Eli whom he basically said either they suck or in Eli case its not him its OBJ? On a side note, he said Goff was average to above average. With McVay, Goff will be good to great. Last year Goff was great. He calls Ryan overrated. Ryan never was a great QB. His best season came with Kyle Shanahan. If Shanahan was the head coach, Ryan would still be good to great. Thats the one advantage Goff has. McVay isnt the OC/OB coach who could leave to get a head coaching job. He is the head coach and will be there throughout Goff career and hopefully even longer. McVay will continue to help Goff be good to great. Then maybe read thr article? That usually helps... Bortles didn't suck last year. No reason for Ramsey to state he did. Was very efficient and didn't have a turnover in the playoffs. Managed the game just like he should do and was asked to do. Made it to the AFC Championship Game and came close to beating Brady in his house. As for being over hyped...lol, by who? If anything we're underhyped at this point. Look in the threads talking about top teams/teams in the AFC that are the future once Brady and co. are done. They aren't even listed most of the time. Or a healthy luck if he can come back 100% healthy. Hes a good qb, imo if youre putting him top 5 youre overrating him or putting to much stock into his inflated stats. Went from being the laughing stock of the NFL to one of the final 4 teams last year and consistently being talked about because of a young superstar cornerback on our team talking smack about other players in the NFL. We're doing just fine.
showtime
Jalen Ramsey has single handedly made this time of the year interesting. Pre-season football is kind of boring to me, for the most part. Ramsey is a hero in my eyes.

Well that is an opinion that you are certainly entitled to, as objectively wrong as it is.

showtime
I don't understand why people nitpick plays from CB's where they get beat. Every CB in NFL history has given up a touchdown at some point or gotten beat badly. And man, who cares about what happened in 2016, that was two years ago and when Ramsey was a rookie. Last year he was a second year pro and the best CB in the world. He comes out here and talks about QB's.... players that he has to face for the rest of his career. These QB's are going to be throwing against him, so give the guy some credit for having the balls to say what he thinks against a position he will actually play against. He's the best player at his position and he still has a massive chip on his shoulder. Got to respect that.

Dorsett caught that ball on the right of the right hash.

A lot of experts expect the Jags to take a step back, even though they actually unachieved their projected win total last year. Statistically, they were closer to a 12 win team then a 10 win team. And the overhype talk is rich coming from a Rams fan.

stl4life07
@.Buzz The Jags are overhyped. It comes with being so close to the SB, having a good offseason, and now possibly taking that next step. With saying that again they won 10 games without playing Luck or Watson. Like it felt as though the Jags should’ve won more than just 10. Like they had the game against the Rams at home and on a day the offense wasn’t great the Jags still lost because Bortles didn’t come through and the special teams was terrible. No excuse to get swept by the Titans. No excuse to lose to the Niners. So like I’m not underselling what the team did last season but it felt like the perfect storm for the Jaguars. It won’t be this upcoming season so we really get to see what they are made of as well as Bortles. Ramsey just made things tougher.
