If Gordon did relapse, then you'd think he's done in the league. And I can't think of many players as talented as he is who have completely wasted it. He could have gone down as one of the best Browns in history, along with being one of the best receivers in history. He's that damn good on the field.

Justin Blackmon certainly comes to mind.

So maybe he showed up to work under the influence of something? Just reading between the lines here, I definitely don’t believe he was just late and that was the last straw

Doesn't make much sense, does it? Especially considering all they've been through with him. And it's not like Dorsey demands his players to be total saints off the field either. I mean, he's the one who gave players like Tyreek Hill and Antonio Callaway a shot.

There's several teams that would make a lot of sense, especially if there's no reason to believe he's going to be suspended.

Telling me a team like the Colts would pass on him?

I’m just saying I don’t see him falling past DAL.  Agree a bunch of teams will kick the tires if there’s no confirmation of suspension.

Winning matters more than character.  That’s ok; it is what it is.  Teams just have to stop pretending otherwise.

So that changes things.   More like CLE trades him b4 Mon.

How does the timing usually work here? Does the formal release announcement suggest they tried and no one was interested? Or does the announcement itself serve as the prelude to offers from other teams? The Browns would be insane not to try and trade him, no?
