Would you agree or disagree with the claim that kickers are the most undervalued position in the league?

Serious question:

If you are like the Vikings and are going all in to win a SB in the next couple years, would you trade a 2nd for Justin Tucker?

I don't like trading draft assets for specialists, but he's very tempting. I'd try to get Dan Bailey first probably, but then maybe I'd come back and make that offer.

I'm so done with this crap. New Kicker, same garbage. Daniel Carlson can go ruin someone else's day.

straight up bum sauce team

Sounds like you are trying to under sell how impressive that is.

Like its not like the Rams planned on not having Zeurlein (was an all-pro last season) but chose not to play with one. The Rams were caught off guard at the last minute when Zeurlein limped off the field right before kick off. Like the Rams lost their all-pro returner Cooper to injury last week and their all-pro kicker in Zeurlein right before the game this week and still had a great special teams week than many many teams in the NFL this week. Like losing their two all-pro special team players didnt effect them one bit and it dont matter who the opponent was. That was the impressive part to me.

Redskin kept this team 24 to 0 until 5 minute garbage time touch down.

Patriots won 2 superbowl because of a kicker

I have no problems with trading a second for Tucker if I were a legit super bowl contender with kicker issues. I mean, it's basically a back end of the round second round pick for a guy who so far has been one of the greatest kickers in NFL history.

That's the only kicker I think I'd trade a 2nd for. Only kicker all time. Seems like he's on a HOF pace.

Ravens have had by far the best Kicker in the NFL for the past 5 years and we've still been a league-average team at best.

However, I have to say watching teams miss easy kicks to end games or miss PAT's or anything like that - gives me a great deal of pride knowing the dark days of Steve Hauschka and Billy Cundiff are gone and the days of Tucker being basically automatic inside of 55 yards is here.

Which is funny because Haush has been legitimately one of the best Kickers in the league since. Won us multiple games last year.

Having a quality kicker is the difference between winning and losing in a lot of situations. How many years has bad ST play doomed an otherwise good season from a team.

Yeah, and I guess it's kind of hard to say how many more games we would've lost without Tucker because I don't think you can accurately just say "Oh, another kicker would've missed this or had a bad game here". It's hard to project that kind of thing.

Also, TIL that despite being in the league for 6 years so far, he's only made 2 Pro Bowls lol

Which is nuts considering how he's unanimously considered the best kicker.

Right?!

Also, ironically enough:

Of course this is a completely arbitrary cutoff point, but I suppose it speaks volumes to how consistent he and Gould have been in that time frame compared to all other kickers.
