otg
There are rules named after players. They should start calling it Eifert Reserve instead of Injured Reserve.
incognito_man
Didn't look that bad. Thought he'd shake it off and be back after icing it down.

If he needs football that badly, he can join this forum and go from there On 9/30/2018 at 6:08 PM, kingseanjohn said: He should probably just retire at this point. He should have made enough money by now to get him through retirement. No need to put your body through all the hits. Why is it when a guy gets injured, people feel the need get on these message boards and attempt to encourage retirement?

Empathy for the player. We've seen way too many stories in the very recent past of players who can't walk or do a lot of every day things because of the abuse they got paid to take. We've seen way too many players commit suicide shortly after retirement. Fans naturally side with the players and therefore have a certain empathy towards them. Wanting somebody to stop taking abuse to their body, especially with a guy that seems to have chronic injury problems like Eifert isn't something negative IMO it's just consideration for their life after the sport. Ty21
Tyler Eifert was one of my fav ND tight ends of all time and it sucks that he hasn’t been able to hit his ceiling because of injuries. He’s only 28 but there’s no way he’s ever going to play an entire season. maybe hanging up the cleats wouldn’t be a bad idea...

But the guy is getting hurt literally every year and at some point he should think about quality of life after football.

Because we want to systematically destroy the NFL... And we will succeed, it's only a matter of time. Resistance is futile.
