If I'm the Suns, I unload Ariza @ the deadline, tank one more season, grab one more high pick, and roll with Ayton, Bridges, pick this year, and whatever else they have left (as Josh Jackson seems to be nothing). If they can grab Barrett @ #1 this year, why would you want Wall? That is a ton of risk hoping he fits in and plays well, with that extension kicking in. Also the "he's the x best player on a title team" argument is dumb. If KD leaves for the Knicks who is the 2nd best player on the title favorites (for this let's just assume nothing else changes lol)? Klay, Brandon Ingram, Jason Tatum (who is averaging 16 on 43FG%), Kyle Lowry, Khris Middleton, CP3. Kemba is better than all of them. Who was the 2nd best player on the Mavs when they won? Jason Terry? Tony Parker was the 2nd best player on like three title teams. How about the Pistons when they won? Ben Wallace? Klay was the 2nd best player on a title team. Only plays 7 minutes last night (6th among guards on the team) and suddenly he's out a week after his agent calls the GM and apparently couldn't get an appointment until Monday...
