Everything’s been discussed multiple times already. Either you discuss current events or log off until something of note happens. I don't twitter so I haven't seen any of it but It seems like everyone has an opinion/agenda right now in almost all aspects of life. I don't know if the stay at home changed people or what but it seems like a lot of people are 100 times what they once were. For me I'm not a fan, I'm not really a people person to begin with, I don't care to hear people complain and right now there is just a lot of complaining whether political or whatever.
MWil23
I thought it was common knowledge that Twitter's main draw and "news" was socialistic.

(Zuckerberg's Ted Talk on this was AWESOME, look it up, you'd love it) Essentially, it pulls the information from your searches, likes, etc., and eventually hides posts and only shows those in your feeds that you'll be drawn too (currently major lawsuits about this btw). So, as a history/political science teacher, if I were to, say, type in "Egypt", I'd get bombarded with that lens of news/current events, whereas someone who isn't but rather loves to travel will get a bunch of stories/searches on hotels, excursions, sights, etc. and nothing on current events. I always love walking around and helping kids/have them work side by side with their partners in group projects and type in the same thing into their search engines in class, and it's a nice teachable moment, as some are frustrated with not being able to find certain information necessary...and you can only imagine what some of these search results will filter on their front pages of teenage Chrome Books. The further that divide gets, the more heated the discussions. Quote For me I'm not a fan, I'm not really a people person to begin with, I don't care to hear people complain and right now there is just a lot of complaining whether political or whatever. If you feel that no one on either side has a valid point, then perhaps it’s complaining. I can appreciate not wanting to engage, but I’d argue there are some valid issues that need to be addressed and saying people are “complaining” is either misguided or being obtuse. That’s better 😂 But seriously, I think most people understand that our feeds, ads, etc are tailored to the user. Im not talking about what they see as ads, I’m talking about sharing unvetted articles from questionable (being generous) sources. People on both sides do absolutely look for articles and data that tells them how right they are, even if it’s garbage info that completely lacks context/perspective. That's what I'm saying in terms of accounting for the ever widening divide, where they're pulling these sources from, the perspective/slant. Words like "allegedly" in a headline or "appears to be" giving the benefit of the doubt/slant to one side whereas in another there's an "absolute" headline. I'll give an example: 3 officers allegedly ingest bleach in milkshakes at local Shake Shack (Yes, only three people who happened to be police officers accidentally ingested bleach in these hand made milkshakes and every other patron was fine. Purely an accident and coincidental). Often times, even what news outlets choose NOT to report is more slanted/egregious than what they actually report...and that's something that's difficult to navigate.

This is all true, but I don’t even mean when people are being misled. I mean people on both sides have much differing views than 10-15-20 years ago. The “status quo” isn’t working for many and people want change. And, as we know, change rarely happens without conflict.

I'm sticking to my "1968" comparison for the evolution of what's going on in society and the subsequent response(s) of people, government, socioeconomic status/ethnicity, and the complete unintentional comedy factor of R/D maintaining their status quo tonedeafness and marching out the same old status quo, wondering why they can't get support. It's Nixon vs. Hubert Humphrey all over again, only this time, there was never an RFK to break the mold.

In the last 6 months, I've added over 1000 followers on my podcast twitter page. Hit 5200 downloads yesterday. Lots of Browns fans on Twitter checking out Aussie Rules Football. 6 of the 9 games this weekend being aired on ESPN2/FS1/FS2.
