Ya you’re not wrong Pwn.

I feel like I’m walking on eggshells here, but this was not a great human being. Read up on the multiple allegations against him for domestic abuse, punching his girl until she went legally blind in one eye, threatening his pregnant baby momma and their unborn child, imprisoning her in the house, beating up a gay dude nearly to death for “looking at him wrong”, etc.

Obviously he was very young and had plenty of room to grow, but the details of his actions behind the scenes are incredibly disturbing. I frankly have little remorse.

the allegations aren't hidden or anything. it's generally the first thing brought up when his name is mentioned lol. nothing proven. we don't know the mental state of the girl. and the gay dude he beat up was eyeing him down for weeks and eventually went up to make a move on him in the showers according to x. i don't believe x was innocent of everything. but i dont believe the girl either 100%. none of my business to judge if nothing's proven imo. considering his upbringing, i wouldn't doubt that he did some bad ****. that's not like saying "poor guy never had a chance, can't blame him" or anything like that. but more so saying i agree that he was probably guilty of something for sure. i dont think him or the girl were stable, but it's dumb for me to even make those assumptions. ppl dancing on his grave on twitter and ****... that stuff is so weird. not justifying his character, but just kinda going off on my own separate tangent about the lack of connectedness between folks and general lack of empathy over people's overall situations. not including you in that, just saying. & not tryna play like a "holier than thou" attitude or whatever. if he was guilty of all those things, then it's safe to say he's a ****ty human being obviously. still was spreading a pretty positive message to a lot of young kids even if it was contrived and lacking in sincerity. i dont know what im getting at.

Haha I feel you.

And ya of course it’s all public but, at least with the folks I’ve talked to in person, few had an understanding of his life outside of music. I’m not saying dance on the dudes grave but I think it’s important to understand the body of his life before casting feelings.

It’s fair to reserve judgment, but he’s had these allegations cast from multiple women, there is literally a Snapchat/IG video of him close fist hitting a chick, there are multiple witnesses to some of the claims being made, and he was sadistic enough to color his face/body in the blood of the gay dude after beating him.

There’s enough out there for me to form an educated opinion since the judicial system will no longer have the opportunity to unveil it.

Old news but..

Finally had enough listens to give a full feeling on Testing by ASAP. Overall its a .... eh.. meh..

Too much of the album is just blends together, and outside of a few tracks nothing really stands out. I got into ASAP because of Clams Casino production. Therefore, for me the best tracks are F. Sleep and Black Tux, White Collar. ASAP is at his best with dreamy, echoy, hazy, Burial-core beats. Not enough of that on this album TBH.

Kids See Ghosts is awesome. Glad to see Cudi back [even if the album is more Ye than Cudi]. I think I like it slightly more than Daytona

Streams of Thought is fantastic. Love the no-nonsense approach. Gimme more; vol 2, vol 3, vol 4.

agree that testing was pretty boring. rocky needs to be carried by production. tony tone was the only track i liked. i liked the calldrops interlude too actually. people saying rocky's music fell off after yams died, i dunno bout that. i thought ALLA was really good.

I feel for his family but I'm not into the garbage music he made. Sorry.

On another note, I bought some new and old stuff I didn't have. The new stuff is Prhyme 2 and the Royce album. Those 2 are must haves IMO.

Book of Ryan is spectacular. Power has such amazing storytelling.

Yeah that album is so good. I have been listening to it over and over since I got it. I just recently got into Royce. Wasn't a day 1 fan but it's not too late to love this dude's stuff. He is amazing on the Prhyme albums too.

edit: nevermind curry album not dropping taboo until july 27. but he just dropped this track. top 3 track i've heard this year

Your opinion is yours. I can't get into this style of hip hop. Definitely not a top 3 track of the year for me tho. I would skip this after the 1st verse started.
