Why's that? Wells is a very good football coach.

Not a massively impressive resume, no real P5 experience.

We've gone down the route of G5 HC's 2/3 hires, he would be a decent hire for someone but really don't want that option for us again.

Kiffin just went 5-7. Is he really an option for you all?

Highly unlikely, mostly his name being thrown around but also it's coming from idiots who thought Gary Barnett should be the interim coach lol

If we could get Jimmy Lake, Aranda, Ryan Day or Jedd Fisch I'd be very happy.

ODU has announced the dismissal of defensive coordinator Rich Nagy, safeties coach / recruiting coordinator Kermit Buggs, corners coach Sam Perryman and offensive line coach Chris Malone.

I said first page the HC needs to go. But theyre going with the LSU route. Thinking that addressing a quarter of the problem will solve all their issues.

“As such, we are finalizing terms to extend Coach Smith’s contract by two years, through the end of the 2023 football season.  By doing so, we intend to send a strong message to current and prospective players and coaches that Illinois has a bold vision, needed stability, and a commitment from the highest reaches of the university to build a winning program.”

Week after losing 63-0 to Iowa.
