We should trade for Jaylon Johnson. He’s from Fresno and family are Raider fans. He’s a stud CB1 which is a need. He’s still young and we can right a wrong when we drafted Arnette over him. Get it done for Jacobs or a 3rd

We aren't going to make any good trades.  You should lower your expectations to Hunter Renfrow for a 7th round pick in 2026 and maybe the Raiders trading for a slot WR, giving up a 2023 2nd and/or 2023 3rd round pick to make up for losing Renfrow's production.  We will then most likely utilize that slot WR as efficiently as we currently use Renfrow.

Or we might send some draft picks to the Patriots for Mac Jones.  McDaniels could turn that kid into a superstar in no time.

Did anybody pay attention to the fact that Washington let both of the edge rushers go and paid both interior rushers? Remember that as we go into the off-season and people think that we're gonna land a big time interior rush. People don't let those guys go unless they're 30+ years old.

I kinda hope we draft a DT in the first, then go get a QB in round 2. Make the DL a potential strength with Maxx, Wilson, 2024 1st. Then come back and take advantage of a strong QB class

I’d like Jaylon Johnson very much but it would depend upon the cost of course. I’d probably do it for a 3rd as he’s a starting quality CB.

If you want one of those guys that's where you have to take them. Do you have to be prepared to pass on whoever QB three or four is in order to get them most of the time

Exactly. If you want a high-end interior player, you have to make a trade for one. They don't get to FA until their best football is behind them.

Passing on a franchise QB for DT is not the right move. QB is the most important position on the field.

Yeah, but they have to be a franchise level quarterback you can't just draft a quarterback, and call him a franchise quarterback. The Packers are learning that with Jordan love, and the Steelers are dealing with that with the Pickett guy. at that point, it's about getting more talent on the football team.

and then if we're picking like 13 14 or 15 that implication there is it Aiden O'Connell is probably pretty good which is why I would be more inclined to give him a shot with an impact player on defense to go with Max Crosby and if he blows up, then we just draft a quarterback the following year

That's true, you never know when it comes to the top 3-5 QB's. And most of the time though their found in the top 10 and not in that teen range. As a matter of fact if you look at the most successful QB's starting right now, almost all of them were drafted in the top 10. allen, young, burrow, goff, stroud, lawrence, mahomes, herbert, stafford, tua compared to successful QB's outside the top 10: hurts, lamar, cousins, then maybe russell wilson and prescott?

Either way, if you find yourself in the top 10 and can take one of the top QB's, you have to try. Outside the top ten....the answer is trade back into the top 10 😄

I don't disagree but the way I see it it's about which pic they are and it's more about which number quarterback are they if there's a third or fourth guy(sometimes even the second) it's usually a guy being propped up as as a higher pic then they really are through the draft pageantry. And all the pageantry ends at some point and now you're stuck with someone who isn't as good as the pageantry made him out to be who you have to wait at least three years to find out if he can actually lead the team.

We can't get Chase for a 3rd?!?  Our 3rd would be higher than SFs.  Wtf.

In hindsight it seems the FO was put on lockdown knowing they were dead men walking so that explains why we didn’t make any moves.

A 3rd for Chase doesn’t make much sense for us. We aren’t competeing this year or next year and Chase is going to get a huge overwhelming contract. I don’t think Chase is as good as people think, and not worth market edge prices. If money wasn’t involved, then sure, a 3rd is a no brainer. But he’s just not gonna be worth his contract value imo. Use that 3rd on something else.
