Saying if Roseman was GM of the Giants

I don't think so, but I can't say for sure. It'd either be SaQuon, Chubb, or Darnold if he were making the choice at that moment in time for the Giants.

What I can say is that he wouldn't have taken Daniel Jones 6th overall.

Any competent GM would've take a QB in that situation. So yes.

If I'm Howie in control of the Giants and I hate everyone not named Baker at QB that year, it's easy....just trade back

There was enough talent and enough needy teams to do it.

The play was to take the jets deal that the Colts took.

At #6 you are still in a great position. I don't think the colts would have taken Saquon at #3, maybe the Browns do at #4.

Maybe Saquon makes it to #6 with teams moving up for QBs, still a top ten RB selection but you get that bevy of 2nd rounders from the Jets.
If not you have a good foundational piece in Chubb maybe, a stud CB prospect in Ward or maybe you grab one of the Notre Dame OL. I couldnt really take it against the Giants if they wanted a guy like Nelson to try and combat Cox and the Skins interior pressure. Or maybe you like Allen or Rosen enough to take them at #6.

And if you want none of the above? Do the Bills-Tampa trade and get at least two more 2nd rounders.
All said and done going from #2>#6>#12 gets you 5 2nd round picks at the very least, plus one of those guys who went in the teens last year.
that's 6 high value pieces to build your team. And if you follow the trades it turned into way more picks than that.
Instead of taking a luxury pick like Saquon who seemingly will kinda have to dwindle the start of his career away with no team around him.

I'm not adverse to taking a RB if they are special, but you better have at least an OL in place. Gettleman was sitting pretty and could have crafted the Giants into the team of the 2020s, but he got enamored with Saquads and he'll be fired at the beginning of the decade instead.

Y'all are not being honest with yourselves. Everyone was shocked and wutface laughing when they heard Baker was going to be the #1 pick.

The poster that got banned for trolling after the Eagles lost in the playoffs just called us emotion based. Interesting. Your debate savvy knows no end, my friend.

I got banned for saying little dck nick, which was an obvious play on his nickname. I regret nothing.

I was at the draft, It was in Dallas. I was the only one cheering when they took Barkley. I was so excited they committed franchise suicide.

Sure but to repeat it at least a couple times because of an emotional outburst to rub in a loss to your biggest rival is what I’m referring to. Kind of the definition of letting your emotions get to you.

Emotions post game do not equal thought out debates. And you all know I like to shovel poop in your direction. I just wish Wentz wasnt so decent so that I could hate him too.

You’ll learn to hate him.

Funny, even though I never hated Romo or Witten. Probably because both are pretty good dudes.

I hated how Witten was slow but always seemed to be open, it just never made sense to me.

I hated how much attention Romo got, and thought he seemed like a tool when he was dating Jessica Simpson, felt like the only reason she gave him the time of day was because he was the Cowboys QB.

I never hated Romo individually. Witten I just hated what he did on the field to us, when it was fairly obvious what he was going to do.

Its well known that Wentz was my #1 in 2016. So I rely on the data exclusively at this point.

It’s weird that there are so few Cowboys players I’ve hated over the years. Like I really like Ware and Ratliff. You couldn’t hate Romo, he was fun to make fun of but he was a solid guy. Sean Lee, Witten (before the booth) lots of guys

i think Zeke is probably the first in awhile that I like actively don’t like.

Zeke is an Ohio State guy and a Cowboy. Literally evil incarnate.

I wasn't. He was the clear #1 QB to me. Thought Josh Allen was worth a mid 1st, thought Darnold and Lamar were second rounders.

Hated Greg Hardy. It was hilarious jerruh called him a team leader. Guess he wasn't a true cowboy though, in the sense he wasn't drafted by them.

Zeke is definitely hateable, but I also despise any male that exposes his midriff like a woman. I also hated Dez because he cried all the time. Figuratively and literally.

I love Dak and Garrett though. Hope those two aren't going anywhere for at least 5 years.
