What?!?

WTF you think he was clearing all that space for?  It’s for exactly this, making a run when the QB is on a rookie deal.

This is like Seattle 2013/14 on roids.

Unless you’ve got Brady, this is the new way of the nfl.

Capitalise on a good rookie contract qb.

100% this.

Chiefs

Rams

We only have the Based God Baker for 3 more years on his rookie deal.

The time is now

Give me Ronald Darby and Juston Houston while we’re at it

Earl Thomas DB, Unsigned Free Agent

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports the Browns will not be signing free agent Earl Thomas.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported Tuesday evening the Browns were "feeling good" about their chances to sign Thomas, but everything Wednesday suggests that was made up and Cleveland never had any interest. They like Damarious Randall at free safety and are looking for more of a strong safety type to pair with Randall. Thomas is not that. Thomas' market has yet to develop, but the soon-to-be 30-year-old (in May) should find a home soon.

Makes perfect sense.  Thomas isn't much more than a name at this point, and it's much easier to fill the SS than the FS spot.  Look at the FA's out there.  We'll be fine.
