Not as funny as some of the others.

Quote

Whenever Jerry dies (call it 2078), he’ll be heralded as a renegade with bold ideas and not what he actually was: a handsy hick who was only intriguing to beat writers when he was clearly ****faced. That old-*** ************ doesn’t even do anything anymore. The Cowboys are essentially run by son Stephen Jones, who looks like a Congressman that got caught ******* a dog. Jerry’s just there to hog credit whenever something goes right and pull out his six-shooter when he’s displeased. He’s a ******* mascot. And so are the fans of this team. You’re all braindead clapbots with removable heads. It’s scary that there are so many of you. No, really. I look at the Cowboys and I realize that America is a lost cause.

This part was spot on though

Damn - are we overrating our talent? Vegas puts us as a middle tier team. SI/other sites says we dont even make the playoffs.

I better for them to doubt us. This team needs a chip on their shoulder and remember it for the next 20 games. This includes this next preseason game

Im just saying - the rest of the world thinks we are a borderline playoff team. And around here people are saying 'superbowl/champ game or bust'.

That is a huge disconnect between us and the rest of the world.

I would consider missing the playoffs a disappointment. I could see the Eagles winning the division being pretty equally likely to the Cowboys.

So if the division odds are (in my and many eyes)

Eagles 40-44%

Cowboys 40-44%

Redskins 16%

Giants with the first-third overall pick

Then yeah the cowboys are a borderline playoff team. But if this team makes the playoffs I think they're built to get some wins there.

isn't that what we do best??

We all agree that our defense is going to be one of the best units in the league. Even the media is on board with that one. Returning Rod Marinelli, returning KR, shutting down our offense in training camp for the 2nd year in a row, and near perfect performance form the 1st string in preseason.

Our offense is a bit of a question mark. Brand new rookie OC, questionable HC, a strong but battered OL, a QB that divides the nation, one of the few all pros on this side of the ball is in Cabo, and Amari has a dreaded foot injury.

Our most consistent offensive players right now are La'El Collins, Travis Frederick, and Michael Gallup.

If Tyron and Martin are ready by week 1 and 100% then our OL will be elite again, because Frederick and Collins look good. It looks like both William's and XSF have grown, and Joe Lonney obviously benefits from last year, so we are deep too. If Amari can come back healthy, then our WR group is pretty damn good too. Amari plus Gallup, and Cobb with a slew of young talent. If Zeke comes back we will have the best run game in the league again, with him and the addition of Pollard. Remember when Joeseph Randle averaged 6.7 ypc in 2014 coming in after DeMarco Murray? Elliott and Pollard are an even better thunder and lightening.

I see questionable TEs no matter what happens. The only TE currently not on the injury report is old man Wit.

I question Daks accuracy but I do expect him to have an easier time In KMs scheme so I'm not overly concerned with QB.

It's not out of the realm of possibility. We barely won 10 last year.

My point is that all you hear on here is "this is the best, most complete team ive seen in YEARS!", "Im so ready", "This team needs to go deep in the playoffs or we blow it up"

And the rest of the world is "Dallas is a mediocre team"

Its just a huge disconnect. Maybe it is because Zeke, Cooper, TSmith are all not here/healthy and Kellen Moore has no history being an OC. I think for sure our forum has overrated our WR group. Cobb and Austin have not had a full, good, season in like 5+ years or something. But Cooper (if healthy) and Gallup are a solid 1-2

A lot of it is no Zeke.   I don’t see us making playoffs with out him.  Too hard to win those tough high level match ups without your best player and one of the best players in the league.   Just like it will be interesting to see how NE does in play offs with out Gronk.
