He played at a superstar level the second half of the season when he was healthy.

But not in the playoffs.

As I've said it's almost impossible to win with only one real offensive threat like Utah had last season. And if you're going to debate that then why weren't LeBron or AD able to win in the West last season? And why did they force the Lakers to gut their roster so they could play together?

Because the Jazz have a lot more talent and defensive ability than what the Lakers or Pelicans had in 2018. The roster and head coach you pump up for the Jazz are exactly what the Lakers and Pels didn't have. That is why they missed the playoffs, injuries aside. The Lakers have been gearing up for free agency this summer for years, which is a huge part of why LeBron went to LA, and why now their roster is changed over completely. The Pelicans gained a lot more by trading Anthony Davis, who demanded a trade, than by holding onto him for one more season and getting nothing in return. It's obvious why those two teams did what they did. You know that.

@J-ALL-DAY So, after doing some research, we could use the TPE from the Brogdon deal to get salary filler along with Ersan and like DJ Wilson or Sterling Brown to get within the allowed range of salary in deals to land Gallo. Really hoping we're in on this.

Bledsoe, Middleton, Gallinari, Antetokounmpo, Lopez is soooooo much better than Bledsoe, Matthews, Middleton, Antetokounmpo, Lopez

Bledsoe | Hill | DiVincenzo
Middleton | Matthews | Connaughton
Gallinari | Korver (hope Bud uses his Korver connection to make it happen)
Giannis | Wilson
BroLo | RoLo

I could live with that.

He averaged 28/7/3 and beat an OKC team featuring a former MVP in Westbrook and PG13 who just finished top 3 in MVP/DPOY voting this season. Unfortunately, a rookie surrounded by Ingles/Rubio/Favors wasn't enough to beat two future HOF in their prime against Houston.

We had more talent than the Lakers and Pelicans? AD had Jrue Holiday a borderline All-Star and one of the best two way guards in the league. LeBron had Kuzma/Ingram/Ball who Lakers fans hyped up as future stars before the season. But that's what LeBron fans always do, hype the team up before the season and then claim he had no help after the season when he falls short.

Nice, need to throw one of the first rounders and try to make a move for him. Gallo was awesome last year and would fit in great with the Bucks.

Damage control tbh just like the "Tatum was never available for AD" leaks.

Damage control? Are you saying Pelinka wasn't in the meeting or anything?

I just posted in the Bucks thread but, man, squander picks and assets in the Kidd era has really, really screwed us during our current window.

Vaughn, Maker and Wilson over something like Delon Wright, Domantas Sabonis and John Collins along with trading a 2nd that lead to Norman Powell (not saying he's an asset necessarily) and a 2017 1st that became OG Anunoby for Greivis friggin' Vasquez. Jason Kidd may have helped develop Giannis (though I think he would've done it on his own) but he completely screwed us out of a potential second superstar.

It's difficult to win without any other scoring options around you. Which is why AD and LeBron went a combined 53-58 last season when they were on the court and forced the Lakers to gut their roster so they could play together?

Yep, you bet! And now now we got a roster.

My goodness. You NBA fanboys b*tch and moan as much as the players these days do. Basketball has been unbearable since the turn of the decade, and it looks like that's trickled down to those who still follow it. This thread is embarrassing for some you. For the first time in a long time, this game night be watchable again with every that's happened this off-season. Now quit acting like bridge scouting morons or go post on Facebook..

move along

But hinted on FS1 that he was leaning towards returning to Toronto and then hinted that he was leaning towards signing with the Lakers. And then said he wasn't making a decision yesterday. And also said that he had an in with Kawhi's camp because they liked his reporting style but he was just guessing the entire time.

You do know it’s a tv show, so they’re compelled to give tidbits and hints for the sake of viewership? In his tweets he never said any of those things.

AD needs to be a second-tier player to win, he showed that in New Orleans. Mitchell has more 50+ win seasons in 2 years in the league than Davis has in 7, yikes. Like I said imagine being the proudest franchise in the league, adding two superstar players, just to be worse than the Utah Jazz, must sting.

He never said it on Twitter but said it to a bigger audience on national television.
