His inconsistent play is annoying and it led me to believe that he would be a pass rush specialist in Gregg Williams' scheme. My issue is that I can just tell he is forcing it and his heart isn't all the way into it, Ill go as far to say this occupation is funding what he really wants to do (Music). Great draft by Dorsey but that wasn’t one I liked. Meh...he was overdrafted for sure, but Thomas was never going in the 5th round. Too much raw talent. Plus he has 4-3 and 3-4 versatility. Somebody would have scooped him up well before the 4th. But yeah....I wasn't thrilled with the pick as I never viewed him as a long-term starter for us. Who players that shouldn’t be crossed trained positions in Bit and Robinson. Just let those two lock down the LT. They shouldn’t be moved if an injury happens. Only other players should be moved if one of them go down. If these rumbles get louder once we get into the preseason games, it’s going to be concerning but Campen should hopefully earn his pay. Even if it was his fault that is in the past, if he makes the team great if not it is water under the bridge. Chad Thomas has a lot to overcome and a lot to prove to justify his selection. Beyond a wet fart of a rookie season, beyond the fact that Nassib had 6.5 sacks in a breakout year while Thomas struggled to make the gameday roster, lies the troubling notion of Alonzo Highsmith influencing the selection of Miami players higher than they should go. Sheldon Redwine certainly felt like more of the same this year, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt until I see him against NFL players. This is not meant to disparage the football players from the U. I stan Duke and Njoku. I have a problem with any kind of added weight being put on alma mater. On a level playing field, I just don't see Thomas (or Redwine) stacking up equally against other prospects that were available at the time. I love Dorsey, but it seems like he cut Nassib just because he wasn't one of "his guys". Thomas did nothing and Chris Smith was decent, but rarely saw the field (although that's probably the fault of Williams). I hope Thomas proves me wrong, but I'm not counting on it. If he becomes even just a solid rotational DE, then I'll be happy. As for Redwine, I thought he went about where he should have.
