Kawhi Leonard signs with Clippers and Clippers trade for Paul George

Chemistry was shot between Russ and PG, not shot at the title. PG and Kawhi both have durability concerns in the longterm. Good haul that OKC got.

That’s fine. There was no rush to trade him. They could’ve shopped him all summer and moved him to the highest bidder if he wanted out that bad. Instead Presti did his best to build a Clippers dynasty and put his team even further into purgatory then they already were.

I've watched more of Sabonis than you can imagine watching. George will be 36 and Leonard will be 35 in 2026.

Then you should know he’s much more than a bench big. Dude is ridiculous good.. Just doesn’t mesh with Turner. Dude is a starter and a dam good one.

lmao what. We got Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Kyrie Irving with those "wasted assets". What a horrific take.

And nothing happen. They couldn’t win with Kyrie/Horford/Hayward. They’ll never be that talented ever again. Tatum and Brown proved they’re bums. Nothing special.

AD requested a trade to the Lakers and the Pelicans didn’t get punked and rush into a deal. Kawhi wanted to be traded to the Lakers last summer and the Spurs didn’t get punked and rushed into a deal. Presti got played.

He didn't get played because if they didn't want to trade PG, they wouldn't have. This was a haul, and he obviously thought it was the best deal they'd get for Paul George.

OKC just isn't good enough.  Honestly, I don't think they're better than the Clippers, Lakers, Rockets, Warriors, Nuggets, Jazz or Blazers.  They would barely make the playoffs next year, IMO.  Westbrook is kind of a catch 22 type of player.  He's really good, but he's best suited to be a sidekick to an actual elite player.  The problem is, Westbrook's game does not play that way.  Westbrook is like the most alpha personality since Kobe, except he's nowhere near as good as Kobe was.

I disagree.  I think they're right there in the mix.  I think this is the first year in a LONG time when there isn't one or two teams in the West who are clearly ahead of the bunch.

They weren't going anywhere and PG wanted out. They had no choice. PG value was at his highest point.

They would have never got a better offer than this. Clippers will have 1 player with a bum shoulder and 1 player who needs load management. Good chance both are done in 3-4 years. 2024 and 2026 Clippers picks could be top 5. OKC made out like bandits

Hayward destroyed his ankle and was never the same. You can't predict that. Tatum and Brown proved they're bums but Sabonis just "doesnt fit with Turner", do I need to spell out how hypocritical your basketball takes are right now? You think maybe Brown and Tatum just didn't fit with the plethora of scoring options the Celtics had?

SGA and future late 1st round draft assets is all they could get for PG? That’s terrible in comparison to what the Pelicans just got for AD.

Yes, the west is wide open.  Wide open in terms of there being no overwhelming favorite like the Warriors have been the past several years.  But it's not wide open in the fact that anyone can win it.  The west will basically come down to the Lakers, Clippers or Warriors.  There's no way OKC with Paul George and Russell Westbrook would reach the finals.

Nahhhh......not the Clippers. I'm not ready to give the Clipper's fans that respect yet LOL (Just kidding!) :)

There was absolutely no rush to move him though. He’s under contract for 2 more years. It was a weak move by Presti and if he would’ve sent PG to the Lakers everyone would’ve been hating on it.

We literally spent the first half of the offseason talking about how the Lakers' assets were trash.  Amazing how things have changed.
