  1. 1. How should the Cowboys deal with Zeke?

    • Deny him a new contract and wait for him to return
      5
    • Add money to his remaining two years but deny him an extension
      6
    • Sign him to a new 3 year deal that makes him one of the top three highest paid RB in the league
      14
    • Sign him to a new 5 year deal that makes him the highest paid RB in the league
      6
    • Trade him to the highest bidder

How can anyone say this without knowing the structure of the deal?

He got $50M guaranteed. Even if half of that is guaranteed at signing it is extremely unlikely he doesn’t see all of it IMO, barring another suspension.

I’ve seen three people wearing Zeke jerseys so far today. Let’s not forget that this team’s fiscal decisions go beyond salary cap considerations.

Details starting to trickle in. $7.5m signing bonus seems way to small.

For reference, Gurley got $21m

Out of all the reasons we sign someone, I highly, highly doubt jersey sales will ever factor into it.

We’re gonna have to agree to disagree on the team that rakes in more revenue than anyone without ever winning anything not making roster-related decisions that influence both sides of that.

This is the key to the deal.

Total win for Zeke. Almost no chance he doesn't see all $50M barring another suspension.
