Mega Ron
I was shopping for a TV in a place called Dixon's in the UK. I saw the second plane hit across about 50 TV screens.

I asked her if it upsets her that 9/11 hijacks her birthday every year. Jesus I feel like a jackarse even laughing at that joke. Well done, have a football.

Shanedorf
Quite the feat to take 4500 in-the-air flights and get them safely on the ground so quickly

I was a sophomore at UCSB and had just gotten back from a morning run with three other teammates on the soccer team. I have memories of the OJ verdict from middle school (which it's now occurring to me that some of the people in this thread weren't even alive - or at least old enough to form lasting memories - when that happened).

Tugboat
Obligatory: I was riding to school when the world stopped turning. Heard about it on the radio, and honestly didn't really understand the gravitas of it. Until i got to school and ended up just watching CNN in my first block class on the big theatre screen for hours beyond where classes normally would've switched. Somewhat ironically, a WWII history class. And i still don't know the difference in I Rock and I Ran.
