This forum overreacts the worst I've ever seen.

Someone should probably tell Rams fans they don't have to be defensive of the NFC CCG no-call and hate the Saints for no reason anymore.

They lost the following Super Bowl. They literally don't have a title to defend.

Yes, He had 1 good year there, then regressed the following year, went 9-7 and got injured

Good chance the Chargers were going to move on from him anyways after 05, even if he wasn't hurt

So...did he have three mediocre seasons, or not?

Rookie Season, Then 2 Mediocre Seasons, Then 1 Great Season, then another Mediocre season

Yup, Thats 3 mediocre seasons and that doesn't count his Rookie year

Not sure id call 2004 great at all. He had 400 attempts and 3100 yds. Yes nice td to int 27 to 7 with nice passer rating. But he was asked to do very little. It was an efficient season, not a great season.

His numbers DRASTICALLY spiked once immediately leaving the Chargers

Too many years with BIG Passing numbers and 8-8 or 7-9 records

Lots of garbage time stats put up during losses

He was 30-28 as a Charger, 25-23 his first 3 years for the Saints, then had 3 great seasons, then 4 out of the next 5 seasons were trash

He wasn't really a "winner" until the last 3 seasons

He showed great potential, even early in his career. When the Chargers decided to let him go, it was a huge story in the football media as to where he would end up. There was a sizable amount of folks who believed the Chargers were being foolish. The fact that you're putting his early career into those sort of terms suggests my earlier suspicion was spot-on.

That was his best season... Great by his standards at the time I guess
