SteelKing728
Pierce sounds like a younger Linval Joseph. I'm cool with that. We probably lose the 3rd round comp pick for Waynes though.

SemperFeist
Pierce sounds more like a Pat Williams type than a Linval type.

SemperFeist
We haven’t seen that type of power since Phat Pat.

RpMc
Zimmer has said that the defense doesn’t go without that type of player. Linval was still good, but not the force he once was.

He’s a big guy and it seemed we got gashed in some big games down the stretch. Still seems like a lot for a two down player. Thought maybe Watts would take over at NT. Im glad they got someone at one of the DT spots. I’d assume that Stephen is the favorite at UT with a rookie in the mix. "linval makes kendricks and barr look good". and considering zimmer's philosophy has always been to stop the run first and make the offense one-dimensional, i guess it does make more sense why they prioritized the position.
