To clarify some things.....

Glancing blows are the 3 second recovery times (just from widowmaker)

Deaths are any 5 second recovery time (from widowmaker or powerups)

Also everything shoots off at once to begin each round/checkpoint. 

So if you die from say a lightning bolt at the first checkpoint and get shot with a shell at the same checkpoint, you just die once and take 5 seconds to recover

Powerups have been determined and are being sent out now.  

Remember powerups will shoot off at the beginning of each round/check point.  Once you shoot your powerup it's gone.  So if you shoot it at checkpoint 1 then you do not have it for checkpoints 2, 3, 4, or the finish line

If you use a speed powerup but get killed at the same time by a powerup your powerup goes to waste. 

The name of the game is timing (ie. When to use your powerup). 

If you can double up a powerup it will be use consecutively on the same round.  So a lighting will cause 10 seconds damage, a mushroom 10 second sped of burst etc.

Moves due Thursday @ 7 pm eastern 

I need your move at each checkpoint and start/finish line as well as when you wanna use your powerup (one of the checkpoints or start/finish line)

A simple template is in the original post for the comp.

The first powerup in your lists you receive on lap 1.  If it is not used by the time you receive the second powerup during lap 2 (number 2 in your list) you will lose it.

This goes for all 5 powerups.  

Also please use the template if possible when submitting the moves (pg. 145)
