Panthers TE Greg Olsen Placed on IR with Broken Foot

Recommended Posts

I never root for injuries and if it was my call I would rather him be on the field, but this could help the Saints get their first win

Cam now has no other player with consistent hands.

Maybe Samuels can help fill the void.

It would help if Cam could be consistently accurate, too. He was bad week 1, which was to be expected following the off-season recovery. Did a bit better week 2 (but still does things like miss a wide open McCaffery at the goal line for a gimme TD). Hopefully he continues to progress, otherwise it could get ugly.

To bad. Olsen's one of the best tight ends in the league and a bright spot in a somewhat lethargic receiving corps.

Might as well put Funchess on a 7 - 10 k diet and move him to TE like he should have been in the first place.

Thankfully in this eight game stretch we get two home games against divisional rivals, the Bears, a home TNF game (Philly), and home MNF game (Miami).

If we can pull off 500 we'll be 6-4 heading into the bye and coming back against the Jets...

As a Cam Newton fantasy owner, maybe he is going to start using his legs more. Either way, as a Bucs fan this is plays in our favor since Olson will be out. Should be an easy W

Easy W? Against that defense?

Nah it won't be an easy W. I was just talking trash, the Panthers usually play us tough regardless who is playing QB. Their offense looks about the same if not worse than last year, this time around Bucs will have a couple more playmakers they aren't use to game planning for.

Bad news for Carolina. Dickson isn't half of what Oldsen gives Cam.

Blocking had a lot of the problems from week 2. And dropped passes. Benjamin had a TD blasted out of his chest.

I think Cam will be fine. He was night and day from the first game last week and will only get better as he throws more.
