Any interest in 22 and 76 for 16 from the Falcons? We have a long list of who we like and still have a lot of guys left on it.

Not sure this is the proper channel to be making this request.  This is our War room get the hell out!  haha

My two cents, not sure there is anyone on the board they really would want at 16 honestly now with Chris Jones.  I would pass.

This is what I have for the roster right now, some big holes but nothing is bigger than at safety as of right now.  RB is also important but not as much as OG or CB arguably.  Then again take Cook out of this offense and Diggs and it lacks explosive ability big time, so maybe RB 2nd round would not be a bad idea.  And still DE I think should be addressed at some point as well, that depth there is pretty bad.

QB Cousins/Mannion
RB (         )Mattison/Boone/Abdullah
FB Ham
WR Thielen/(          )Beebe
WR Sharpe/Johnson/Hollins
TE Rudolph/Smith/Conklin
LT Reiff/Hill
LG (         ),Elflein/Dozier
C Bradbury/B.Jones
RG Samia/Collins
RT O'Neill/Udoh

DE Hunter/Holmes
DT C. Jones/Watts/Hercules
DT Pierce/Stephen/J.Johnson/
DE Odenigbo/(         )Zettel
OLB Barr/D.Gates
ILB Kendricks/C.Smith
OLB E. Wilson/Gedeon
CB Hughes/(           )Fields
CB Hill/Boyd
SS H. Smith
FS (           )

K Bailey
P Colquitt

Curious what the Bengals would want for Shawn Williams.  He is a solid safety but would make Harrison have to play back deep more possibly or they could switch them back and forth.  Still that secondary is crazy thin, no real nickle corner and literally zero safeties outside of Harrison Smith.

I think a better OL is going to help make the offense more explosive more than a fast RB.

I agree yes, but Reiff cannot play OG.  So where does that leave them?  And we traded Cook mostly because of injuries and Mattison got injured a few times last year as well.  And the value is at RB, one could get many of the top guys arguably.  No way you get a top OT because they are already gone.  But say Josh Jones or Austin Jackson drops we take him and what trade Reiff some how?

Either what the OL has at least bodies, the safety position right now has zero bodies outside of Harrison Smith so that is a massive issue.

DB is by far the biggest need. I really can’t view Hill or Hughes as more than #3-caliber corners yet, so I think we need two starters (including nickel), as well as starting and backup safeties. Minimum 5 DBs (at least 3 in the first 3 rounds) need to be acquired.

Very true and I agree 3 in those first 3 rounds makes sense.  But that offense right now, unless one gets a dynamic RB or WR that is a pretty lame offense even with a better OL.  That group would not scare anyone so playmakers there are important.  Keeping Kirk protected is key no doubt.  Got a lot of options now with 6 picks out of the top 90.  But then again especially at safety the starter and backup will both be rookies and that could happen at CB also.

So who we thinking of taking at 25?

I thought we traded the 25th and have the 22nd or am I wrong?  Too hard to call right now unless some teams start making some damn picks, but best CB on the board would make sense, I think Winfield Jr could be there with their first 2nd round pick and if not could get Dugger instead.

*Grant Delpit LSU JR - Did not have a great season but still won the Thorpe Award, good hitter, productive since he was a FR safety.  Was apparently injured this season, did not run at the combine but before the season I had him as potentially a top 15 pick.  Would not fit the Vikings need unless Harrison Smith wants to go back to more of a FS. Late 1st to early 2nd.

*Xavier McKinney Alabama JR - tough tackler, productive player but Bama safeties do get overrated at times and again he is more a box safety and not great in coverage which is what they need.  Late 1st to early 2nd.

*Antonie Winfield Jr. Minnesota RS SOPH - everyone knows about him, great in coverage, good tackler and great bloodline.  Is a little high to be picked 22nd but could be there with the Vikings 1st 2nd round pick.  Has slot corner ability as well and great versatility, killed it at the combine and had as good of a season at safety as any safety did in the country arguably.  Late 1st to early 2nd.

*Kyle Dugger Lenoir-Rhyne - Do not know a ton about him, was supposed to blow up the combine but did not, has great ball skills, return man at a very small school, did a lot of things and made a lot of plays against lower competition.  Is a little better in coverage so might be able to do both FS or SS but is better around the line of scrimmage though it seems and has great length for the position.  2nd to 3rd round.

*Jeremy Chinn SR S Southern Illinois - Tougher guy, good solid hitter and is a big safety, but again in the box and is not as good in deep range coverage.  Physically he is super impressive though and ran very well at 6-3 221,  2nd to 3rd round

*Chris Miller Baylor - love hit, is a big time hit man, great hand strength and tackler in the open field.  Good range and technique, does not have great ball skills but is a consistent guy who can cover the back end and make big hits and tackles when needed.  Could be a good value late maybe.  3rd to 4th round

*Alohi Gilman Notre Dame RS JR - is a great tackler, big time hitter and really brings it physically.  Is not as great in coverage but just tackling alone he is worth a look.  3rd to 5th round pick.

*Julian Blackmon Utah - Good coverage, really nice FS with good ball skills and knows how to intercept passes.  Not a great tackler though but decent value late maybe 4th to 5th round.

*JR Reed Georgia RS - Good toughness, good smarts for the position and is Jake Reed's kid obviously.  Has played well on a fine Georgia D for awhile, good be a decent late round value.  4th to 5th.

*Tanner Muse Clemson RS - I think he will move to OLB, but he timed great at the combine and really moved for a man pretty big.  Good range but is stiff in coverage, but can bring it as a hitter at times, still think he is more a OLB but has versatility and can play deep if asked.  4th to 5th round range.

*Antoine Brooks Jr Maryland - another guy I think could be at linebacker potentially, great toughness tackling and is strong and can get people down.  I think he will be a undersized OLB in the league but maybe can play safety or some slot in the right system.  4th to 5th round range.

*K'Von Wallace Clemson - good versatility, can be moved around a lot and do a lot of things.  Has not always played at a high level but was good in the box last year for Clemson and could blitz and come down aggressively making plays on the football.  4th to 6th round range maybe.

and there are a few others but those are more the top guys.

PS it is not super clear who has been picked, who has not been picked and who is up and in what order.  Wish that was more clear somewhere.

CURRENT DRAFT PICKS

1.22
1.25 - Traded to the Chiefs for DT - Chris Jones
2.45
2.58
3.76
3.89
4.117
4.132
5.156
5.160
6.202
6.206
7.220
7.250
7.254

That is an impressive amount of picks. I would consider packaging some in trades up. I would also consider trading picks for a pick next year that is a round higher than the pick being traded away -- especially after the 4th round.

I would go with an available veteran at safety.

With the Chris Jones move taking care of DT, offensive line needs to be a priority along with CBs in the first two rounds if possible. I would start looking at DEs in the third round along with a RB if the right one falls. If not, RB can be found in the fourth round or later. Another second offensive linemen in first three rounds would be super too.
