This won’t be popular, but if Watson continues to struggle- He needs to be treated the way the Eagles treated Carson Wentz when they had Jalen Hurts.

You play Watson until DTR is ready.

Then you try to dump Watsons deal + high draft picks off to a team with cap space.

Or, you do like the Eagles and Hurts and make an offense that fits his skill set. It's hard to play Superman when you don't have any pass protection (in an offense that is predicated of timing) and is ultra predictable play caller. What else is he supposed to do?

Are you telling me you came away from that game thinking the problem with the offense was everyone else??

We had 200 yards on the ground and Watson personally accounted for more points for the Steelers than the defense.

Im not making any proclamations about now he’ll play moving forward, but Monday was 100% on his shoulders and arguing otherwise is pretty ludicrous tbh.

Dudes are getting open. Don't get me wrong, by no means is Stefanski a perfect play caller (who is?) but he's scheming guys open. Watson is just missing.

And while our OL is a tad overrated - at least in pass protection - Watson is earning a lot of those sacks by holding onto the ball for too long. That was his biggest flaw in Houston too, but at least he typically made up for it.

Watson is bad right now. I truly hope he turns it around, but he's been bad and by far the main reason we lost. We made mistakes on Monday, but if he played just an average game, we come out with the win.
