I won’t say his job title or which school, but friend’s dad is a major decision maker for an P5 school on security and pandemic planning. He’s saying that Spring football is the only way football happens this season if it happens at all. And he is one of the most pro “get back to normal” people I know.

A spring CFB league will probably happen just cause these schools will not wanna lose the money ("oh most schools lose money on athletics" is a lie built on "creative" accounting, these schools make money doing this or they wouldn't do it).

Play 8 conference games, title game, playoffs, done by May.

Without football schools absolutely lose money on athletics. Basketball can be profitable but the rest of the sports run in the red. Athletic boosters and football are what allows all the rest of the sports in the budget to operate.
