PossibleCabbage Posted August 15, 2020 Share Posted August 15, 2020 (edited) Traditionally nose tackles are not valuable because they come off the field on passing downs, and most downs are passing downs. A guy with NT skills who does not need to come off the field on passing downs is thus particularly valuable. Run only or pass only players are devalued in the NFL. Guys who play positions which are traditionally run only or pass only who can, in fact, do both are particularly valuable in this era.
