The Good, the Bad, the VICTORY vs. Panthers (Post-game talk)

Good:

  • Jacobs is an a beast, scoring a TD hattrick
  • Abram was FLYING around the ball today. Nice to have his speed and tenacity
  • I loved how Ruggs played and how we were utilizing him prior to injury
  • Ferrell was quiet but made a game saving tackle on 4th and inches
  • Carlson had a good kicking game, nailing a 54 yarder too
  • I thought our RT situation was decent given the fact Brown went down so early

Bad:

  • Leaving McC open on 3rd down late
  • Morrows dropped pick
  • I thought we were too conservative late on O again
  • I am not surprised the D got worse once Kwit got knocked out
  • Littleton missing the easy sack
  • Trent being hurt, AGAIN

Ugly:

  • Lack of pressure throughout the game
  • Gruden's hair, or lack thereof

Injuries the biggest concern. Brown and Kwik. New them both to be back.

Need Gruden to not take the foot off the gas when they get a lead. It’s something that he has done every time and most of the time the Raider lose from it. The defense is not good enough for you to go conservative on offense.

Need more shots down field, but I understand why they didn’t with Good at RT but those play have to happen going forward.

Ruggs made a huge difference prior to being banged up. His speed is gonna open up the offense.

We scored 34 points!!!

Booker looked good as our #2

OL played well. Run game was on point all day and Carr had time.

DC played well. That ball to Agholor was a beauty.

i think our CBs played well minus the Anderson TD.

Abram bring speed and tenacity to the back end. When he hits guys they feel it.

Carlson with the 54 yarder was clutch.

My stream crashed hard late in the 4th (of course) so I actually missed the Anderson TD. Saw a quick replay and it looks like Harris whiffed hard. Who was at fault?

Arnette fell down doing.... Whatever he was trying to do...

Harris came in right at the catch point and was clearly aiming at something else. ... And we Had a holding call on us on the play

Arnette bit on a double move, and Harris whiffed hard

Good

Carr looked in control of the offense

Jacobs is one of the premier players in the league

We won the game

Henry Ruggs looked as explosive as advertised

Bad:

Gruden going ultra conservative in the second half

Paul Guenther’s play calling all game

Ugly

Damon Annette getting abused on that double move

Zero pass rush again against one of the worst lines in the league

Injuries to two key starters

Disagree on being ultra conservative in the second half. Had 4 real drives and scored 17 points. The punt drive was certainly conservative, but they seemed to be going all in on feeding Jacobs all game.

Good: the offense

bad: the defense

ugly: Trent brown is a waste of money. Maybe if he controlled his weight, he wouldn’t be perpetually injured. I’m not impressed.

If he misses significant time this season then we need to move on from him, we can cut him and save $14M with no dead cap.

Hopefully Brown and Kwiatkowski aren't bad injuries. Not what we need one week in.

An up & down performance overall, but it's been a long time since we had that exhilarating feeling after a win so I'm just gonna enjoy my Sunday evening.

Special mention for Josh Jacobs, though. Love that man.

Completely agree. Nobody seems to want to admit it, but he’s fat and out of shape. Can’t convince me that and the injuries aren’t related. Not saying he’s not a good player, but he’s not living up to that contract.
