I thought it was really good and I had by far the lowest opinion of it of the 5 people I saw it with.
MacReady
Before I watch The Shape of Water, I need to know if this line is actually in it, or if the review I just read was trying to make a joke: "Never trust a man even if he looks flat down there." http://observer.com/2017/12/review-sally-hawkins-sinks-in-guillermo-del-toros-the-shape-of-water/ Is that line seriously in there? Shockwave
Shape of Water... So I knew what I was getting into being it's a Guillermo del Toro movie and I have seen Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy. But still was able to shock me with a level of weirdness I wasn't prepared for. The setting, music, and acting are superb but I found myself hung up on how similar the creature was to Abe from Hellboy
thrILL!
I don’t understand all the dislike for it. The direction and cinematography were absolutely stunning. Very enjoyable satirical look at what we perceive as dangerous and how far we’re willing to go to protect those perceptions. Edited March 4, 2018 by thrILL! RamRod
In the Company of Men So messed up. Aaron Eckhart plays one of the biggest a-holes I've ever seen in a movie.
