As you can see, We have had winning seasons under EVERY coach from Parcells to Garrett. And in each we have had a host of single players accomplishing great things like D. Murray and Zeke Elliott winning the rushing titles. Ware getting double digit sacks, Romo throwing for 4000 yards, Prescott winning the offensive rookie of the year or whatever he won.

Point is under every coach we had shots at the title, some Home field throughout, and every time we came up way short.

The ONLY common thread in all of this is Jerry Jones. That's it. Say what you want, but its the same damn thing every year.

I get your point and the three 8-8 seasons bear out that we began to draft smartly and take O linemen there.

But to no avail, the same result. And now here we are with:

1. Our BEST player on a 6 game suspension

2. Our owner at war with the league and its owner.

3. Our stellar O line suffering multiple injuries and failing us.

4. ALL OF THE FA players we signed are off the team!

5. Our All PRO TE inquiring about the HC job at Tenn.

6. Our coaching staff NOT being able to make adjustments in 3 consecutive games with 3 identical results.

7. Going to miss the playoffs again after we took the league by storm last year.

Sorry man, I get what you say, I just don't hold with you.

Is this the same fire jerry, trade this player, draft that player, fire the world, i rebuilt a team in 1 season in madden 2018 edition talk that happens after every non-superbowl winning season?

Jerry had as much say in the 90s and the 2000s. He just had a better talent scout and evaluator helping him way back when, jjst as he does now in McClay and Garrett too even. This teams drafting and team building chemistry has multiplied ten fold when Garrett came aboard, minus the catastrophe of Felix Jones. And with McClay, this team has even found some late round gems and contributors too.

Say what you will of Jerry and the team. But the solution is not disbanding the team and starting from scratch. Jerry has no bearing on how these players execute. As Broaddus says, reaching at excuses like these is grabbing at the low hanging fruit - the easy to pick scapegoats that arent anywhere near as tell tale as the deeper issues that are harder to spot, such as lack ofndepth or just simply being outplayed by a damn good team

Put things into context. There is no one person to blame, no easy solution to every problem, and realize the other team can sometimes play really well or make a really good play. Mike Jenkins once intercepted Brett Favre...does that mean Favre sucks and Jenkins shouod be the hall of famer? No. Doesnt even mean Favre made a bad throw. Some times, that defender just makes a damn good play.

Stop looking for scapegoats and low hanging fruit. The problems arent some.conspiracy, Jerry cares far more for.this teams success than you could ever imagine, and this team is in a better spot this year at, even 6-10 if that happens, than it was several years ago at 8-8. Dont ever forget that.

Whether we keep the current staff or get a new staff, can we pay Romo to teach Dak how to get the ball to Dez?  We might as well trade Dez if this is how we are going to use him.

Trade Dez? And rely on Williams as the lead man? No thanks. And dont tell me "draft a guy" ... what if there is no player worth the pick there? Now you reach for one ahead of other positions you could get a star at. What if the drafted player is a bust even worse than Dez has played?  And dont tell me sign a guy either. What if theres no one you can sign that can fit the bill? And if so, what if he doesnt choose your team? And further beyond that, what if you overpay and he under performs?

Trading Dez will create more issues than it would solve.

But, Romo...yeah. This is why I hoped hed have stayed on as a coach. His familiarity with the system, the players and the coaches would have been a huge help to Dak on the sidelines. And when he was injured, with a play chart in hand and a headset on, it looked right. One year when McGee started for him, Romo even said he could see himself as a.coordinator after his playing days are over. Too bad that seems unlikely now.

Cannot and will not defend anyone on this coaching staff again. RM had the defense rolling, but they are all in same boat now. I'm done with them. Go away. Stay away. Never come back.

Rod has been better but any time we need a stop we fold. Our defense is too vanilla. JG doesn't hold anyone accountable and is useless. Linehan is terrible. Play calling is predictable and fails to put people in the right spot.

We need a change.  Garrett's tenure is marked by mediocrity.  We come apart at the seams if any key playerr gets hurt.  Who have we beat this year - Giants twice, Redskins  twice, Cardinals, Raiders, 49ers, and Chiefs.  What one team with a winning record?  Must be part of the process.

I think the answer is a resounding yes.

Yes, this is the same staff that led the team to a 13-3 season last year. Yes, they lost arguably their best offensive player for six games due to a ludicrous suspension. But, a good team is able to overcome losses to key players and continue to have success. A good team has coaches that make adjustments at the second half.

I look at the success that San Francisco is having under first year GM John Lynch and HC Kyle Shanahan and the seemingly hopeful future they have after they traded away a 2nd round pick for Jimmy G. Last I checked, they're beating the Jaguars who are pretty good this season. Then you have Sean McVay, another first year coach who has the Rams competing for the #2 seed after years of mediocrity under Jeff Fisher - who could essentially be described as a prequel to JG.

Which is sad in countless ways. You simply can't defend what happened today, but I'm sure Jerry will find something to be confident and excited about.

Meh. The sad thing is we let arguably the greatest QB in team history walk away from the game for someone who isn't NFL ready yet.

At the absolute very least there is no justification for bringing Linehan back.

I don't know how you can fire Linehan but not JG. Garrett has the right to overrule the call. He should have put his foot down and ran the ball on 3rd down.
