Umm are we -7m in cap space or +70m in cap space?  Zero chance we can afford all that

Pick Maye or King

one new toy for Gruden on offense ————-

Cuts: Brown, Richie , Williams, Joyner, Nassib, MM, Richard, Jackson

Cutting or trading Brown, Jackson, Incognito, Mariota, Williams, Joyner, Richard, Heath, and Nassib saves $71 million but I think we would only have $52 cap space then.  Arob and LW will cost $18 a piece and Maye and Ingram combined are at least $20.  We would still come up short.  Plus we would have to sign draft picks and would have very little flexibility in the future.  Only way this happens is if Gruden decides to go with Mariota or he trades Carr and drafts his replacement.

This year would be a great year to sit on our hands for the first week.  Teams are going to run out of cap space quickly and some good players are going to be forced to take cheap one year deals.   Resigning our own players will be easy and getting our possible cap casualties to restructure should be also.  A player like Williamd will not get more than $5-7 and although he had a good year someone like Agholor will take a haircut too.  His best option is to sign another cheap one year contract.

- Simpson a shot to start, maybe sign a cheap vet guard to challenge him

-Draft a RG somewhere in rounds 2-4

- bring back Good to start at RT. Shouldnt cost much and he is a better tackle then guard. Maybe draft a day 3 prospect for development.

At this point is rather just move on from T. Williams, although I agree he’ll likely settle for a 1yr 5-7M deal.
agholor played too good to take another 1yr cheap deal.  He’ll easily get 7-9m on a 1-2yr deal.

i do agree we should try and get a bunch of players to reduce they’re salary now and guarantee a roster spot instead of being cut later in the off-season when teams have even less money to spend.

I respectfully think that OL would be incredibly suspect

OL wasn’t bad pass blocking without Richie and Brown most the year, Jackson is just meh....

Jackson is worth 10m but he isn’t “meh”. Your significantly downgrading from him In your scenario.

edit: Jackson isn’t worth 10m but...
