e16bball Posted December 27, 2020 Share Posted December 27, 2020 That play right there is the reason why Alex Smith wins and so many other QBs lose. Everyone with the “gunslinger” mentality wants to try to stick that ball in there. Some of them can do it...some of the time. Smith takes the easy checkdown to Gibson, and the guaranteed 7 yards that it will bring, every single time over the risky try for 15 yards. And that’s why he wins.
