Not sure about POV for each player but ESPN (I believe) used to have a feature where the camera would only focus on whichever player you chose. I'd like to see something like this again. And that was about 10 years ago and technology has been much improved since. And dammit Gould.....you're supposed to be helping your former team get into the playoffs.
