Someone clearly doesn't remember Lamar Jackson's first 3 starts...on one of the most consistent franchises in the league....against 3 not very good teams.

Hurts, in 3 games on a dumpster fire team, will surpass Jackson's rookie passing numbers from 7 starts in a fraction of the time without the offense having to go ridiculously run heavy to mask his glaring deficiencies at QB.

But again, your little stat trick exposes you as having no clue what in the world you're talking about while you box score scout and ride the hype train. That's really all that needs to be said about it.

I'll take seeing Lamar Jackson's first season as a starter as a better gauge of what he is truly capable of over Hurts in three starts.

Flawed logic. 3 games is a laughable sample size to measure a young QB. For example, Gardner Minshew played KC, Tennessee, and Houston his 1st 3 games last year (3 of the best AFC teams), and had 5 touchdowns and 1 interception. How would you rank him now after those 3 games last year? Sure you can rate Hurts/Jackson through their 1st 3 games, but I doubt it really gives you any sort of accurate depiction of their potential.

Lamar started like 1/2 of his rookie year, and in 3 games,  Hurts has been a far superior passer (as in, he already surpassed Jacksons TD total, in 3 games, against superior competition, on a dumpster fire team)

Was COVID wholly to blame? No.  COVID didn't get the run game the Browns have leaned heavily on all season largely stonewalled today, but...

Depth doesn't do much for you when all the WR's on your active roster bar one are rendered ineligible 1-2 days out from a road game and your QB hasn't had an opportunity beyond pre-game warmups to practice with all but that 1 (who was the WR5 on the depth chart... only after OBJ got injured).  That's largely a strawman argument you used to support your contention.

Heres the thing about the run game that people keep mentioning. When your starting 2 practice squad WRs, the defense doesnt respect it and they load the box to stop the run. The Jets were daring the Browns WRs to try and get open and if they made a catch then who cares. They were packing the box and playing the run the entire game.

Its extremely difficult to still be able to run the ball when there are 8-9 guys in the box nearly every down. So people need to stop acting like it should have been super easy for the Browns to simply run the ball and win.

The Browns wernt just out their WRs, but by having no WRs it also eliminated their run game.

Unless you've seen them do so with no-name's that they had extremely low practice reps with, this is, again, another strawman.

I'm sorry but blaming missing the playoffs on one game because you lost some players in that game IS the real strawman. That's like blaming losing a game on one play.

If Browns miss the playoffs, it wasn't because of COVID.

I think you need to learn what logic means.

So I will spell it out for the handful of simpletons.

FLAW: If you pick QB X who is a generational talent it means you hate your QB Y who is on your roster.

FLAW: Pretending that using extreme examples of Young/Montana or Manning/Luck means I have said that QB Y is as good as any of those players.

A moron doubling down on two examples of flawed logic does not make them smart.

Your assumptions here are again, hilarious.

Is Minshew 100% healthy

Do the Jags actually want to win games?

Could a Minshew doing Minshew things cost them Lawrence?

Maybe you believe there are football people that made a value judgement that Glennon is the better QB than Minshew.

Have fun walking and chewing gum.

Dude, you are talking nonsense. Why would Marrone want to bench who he thinks the best QB is?  He is gonna get fired.  He doesn't care about the #1 pick.

And here you are, telling people they lack logic... Hilarious.

And Minshew is not hurt right now.  They split reps in practice.  He easily could have played today.  And he didn't.  Because the Jags gave up on him.
