Honestly I would be fine with that...same as we have seen with Leonard Floyd with the Rams...either way he isn't helping us anytime soon.

And the Bears are losers They beat crap and lose against good teams It's been this way for years. They're easily a bottom 8-10 organization in football Edited January 17, 2021 by beardown3231

They have had this mind set for 30+ years, and it doesn't look to be changing anytime soon. So much for something big to be brewing behind the scenes in the office.

He can work for us if our head coach isn't a stubborn ***-hat. Commit to the Kubiak/Shanahan/McVay scheme and you'll see success. Sadly I think that ship has sailed. We wasted 4 years "developing" a QB for another team to reap the benefits.

Nagy cant even commit to his own scheme, let alone work someone else's. It would be worse than Mel Tucker trying to force the Tampa 2. Lol It sucks to see Tru go but hes had the beginning of his career wasted here. I dont think he ever becomes a big time player but I could see him starting for a team for 2-3 years as they rebuild or being one of the "premier" back ups. Look at what happened in KC. Henne has little mobility and just sucks, Tru could have been a damn good option number two. He lacks Mahomes cannon but had a solid arm, has good mobility like Mahomes, etc. The offense obviously drops with Tru but at least they can run the same concepts, and he knows the verbiage too. KC is my dark horse to sign him as a back up.
vegas492
Front office really screwed it up by keeping Nagy and Pace. Let's just say that Chicago drafts a QB. Team doesn't win enough, coach and GM are gone. Coaches and some GM's like to have "their guy" under center. Whoever was drafted is going to have tough sledding. Two coaches in two years, two schemes in two years....etc. Only way that really works is if a young QB is drafted and the team wins enough to keep the coach and GM for more years. Nagy and Pace stay. Don't draft a QB. Somehow keep Mitch or roll with Foles. Don't take a QB early. Can't see that winning enough for the guys to keep their jobs. Didn't hurt a young QB, but also burned another year of Mack/Hicks. Kind of a tough position to be in as a franchise, versus... Remove Coach and GM. New guys find "their" quarterback and build around him. Stability, or at least perceived stability.

vegas492
It's like the organization doesn't understand the NFL or learn from other team's failures. Maybe it is as simple as cutting a few guys from the o-line that aren't worth their contracts and replacing them with better vets or highly drafted rookies. Find another RB to pair with Montgomery and hope that losing Robinson won't devastate the passing game. Maybe that can be done with Mitch or Foles under center. But to me, that is a pretty awful thing to hitch your wagon to. You have a championship level defense. All you need is competency on offense. And this regime has been unable to give you even that.
