It would take about a 4th to move up 5 spots to snag Jenkins. It’s a move I’m okay with making. He can start at RG in year one and kick him out to replace Reiff at RT in year two (if we decide to go that route). Would also be happy sitting tight and taking Humphrey or Eichenberg. No need to trade up stay put and get a starter.

I think the lack of 2020 tape from Sewell ended up knocking him down the board. He was a top 3 prospect in this year's draft based on his 2019 tape. That and the worst holes were patched last draft. I assume you noted that four of the last five were Edge. Even with the first taken at#18, unless you count Collins, there were six in the round. that seems to be the new higher priority. It does not bode well for the Chiefs, even with two picks in round #2.

goldfishwars
The Patriots have the most sycophantic beat writers in the league, always surprised to see how combative others are. Jeff was tooting Fields all week and now he's writing Mac puff pieces.

49ersfan
I know Fields didn't fall that far, but i guess those rumours of teams not being as high on him were true. Lions, Panthers, & Broncos all have stopgap QB solutions and passed on Fields for OT/DB help. Teams are more desperate than ever to nowadays to get the right QB. Not sure if those will be the right long-term moves. I think Fields suffered a bit from prospect fatigue & overthinking. I think he'll be great with Chicago, and while Pace may have been desperate to get a QB, their trade up was fair compensation for all parties involved.
