Deadpulse
He always struck me as a Patriots type of WR. Not gonna happen for a few reasons though. WR position was already heavily invested in this season. Not saying any of those guys are better than James, but the resources have already been spent. Also, the Steelers and Patriots arent the best trade partners.

August4th
I think he can be a solid number 2/3 type WR on some teams. Steelers WR room is too dynamic for him to get consistent playing time Edited August 6, 2021 by August4th
43M
2018 he was a rookie. 2019 he played with backups. 2020 he played in an offense that couldn't utilize his best skills...and Claypool took away many of those opportunities. He definitely has the ability to get much more playing time elsewhere. IMO, he could be a servicable number 2 or a good number 3 on a WR needy team. Actually despite your poor attempt to troll a divisional rival, James Washington has been reliable when given opportunities.

MWil23
James Washington has proven to be a valuable deep threat and guy who can be utilized on crossing routes. I’m not trolling here, but with Ben’s limited ability to throw those deep routes outside the numbers, especially given Washington’s below average height, Claypool has filled that role. Washington would probably perform well elsewhere.
