TecmoSuperJoe
Quote ESPN is adding another quarterback, The Post has learned. The recently retired Alex Smith has signed on to be an analyst across ESPN NFL shows. For his rookie TV season, Smith will just be dipping his toes in the analyst game as opposed to taking on a full-time role. He will appear on shows like “Monday Night NFL Countdown”, among others. However, if both sides like how it goes, it could lead to a larger commitment. https://nypost.com/2021/08/11/alex-smith-joining-espn-as-nfl-analyst/amp/?utm_source=reddit.com

RuskieTitan
Good on him, look forward to see how he contributes, and hopefully he's more in the Romo mold than the Booger.

CKSteeler
They should just throw him on MNF. He can't be any worse than who they've currently got.
J-ALL-DAY
I saw some of his breakdowns during the SB and he seemed to be really good at this. Looking forward to seeing his weekly breakdowns!

Chiefs_5627
I'm glad he's taking a job that has a lower chance of 300+ lb men falling into that leg.
h13r024
Love it! 💘 Maybe I'm just making up for how myself and a lot of other Niner fans treated him early in his career, but I'm pretty sure I'll be rooting for this man for the rest of his time in sports. ronjon1990
Dude probably knows more offenses than anyone in the league given he had like 10 different OCs lol. Wish he could've given it another year or two, but good on him.
