I think Baker is what Baker is, and I don't think its as valuable as someone who is just consistently good enough. It's certainly not worth the 20+ Mil premium and locked in contract I agree, but teams can't help themselves. I think that there is some merit in drafting / developing and using bridge guys in the interim rather than just paying out a crap ton. Especially for some coaches like Stefanski who have a roster and offensive scheme insulating said QB. I do not believe that the Browns another team like the 49ers, are demonstrably worse with Teddy B as their starting QB right now, for example.
