MNF: Vikings vs Whatever-this-is-supposed-to-be

Fields first game against the Vikes while still rehabbing his ribs and the tackle position is looking weak with Borom out with COVID, Peters ankle, and Jenkins still getting into the swing of things.

The COVID list is getting crazier by the day and we still have another week to go.

This game means nothing.

The rest of the schedule looks like all L's except for maybe NYG, and the ironic part is that even if we win our only winnable game the Giants still win in the end. 😅

They might just have 2 top-5 picks in this years draft or enough ammo to get Wilson.

The good news is that there's only 25 days left until this nightmare is over.

Man this year has been fun......

Report is Borom is fully vaxxed. If so he could be back for the game if he’s asymptomatic. Troubling either way though. If Peters is healthy enough to go (hopeful) it might not be a totally bad thing if it means Jenkins gets a full game at RT where he may be a better fit anyway.

Never fear though - we’re starting in an empty set regardless and then when that fails we’ll spend the next 59 minutes trying to understand the why.

Personally I really hope Borom is back at RT and we then start Jenkins at LT...as much as I would have preferred to sit him for the rest of the year and get him back to lifting properly in the offseason before coming in next season and starting we are in it now...the reps can't be a bad thing and after an understandably rough outing having not played for 2 years then getting chucked into the game with no notice I think we need to have him prepare to start this week and see what improvements we can make over the next few weeks.

Covid is really going around right now (I live in far West Chicago burbs).

It is everywhere last 2-3 weeks.

Volunteering at kids school because they're running out of teachers, and there are a LOT of kids coughing and looking ****ty.

Really tired of living in interesting times.

To be fair that is a typical December in midwest and always has been for my entire life.

Almost every winter we all get miserably sick for a week or two at some point.

Especially when you are in school or have kids in school.

No sunshine and we are all crammed together indoors.

Nagy getting COVID the other month may have inadvertently been a good strategic decision, as pretty much the entire coordinator staff is now out.

Buckle up y'all.

I would love to know how all three coordinators are out but not Nagy? Was there a secret meeting between them on how they are going to try and keep their jobs under the new guy? 😂

Matt Nagy says LT Jason Peters has a high ankle sprain. The good news? The plan right now is to not place him on injured reserve.

Nagy says #Bears will keep Teven Jenkins at left tackles, cites that moving him to another position would make things more difficult for him.

So, most likely Teven Jenkins will start at left tackle against the #Vikings. Hope is Germain Ifedi, who has been out two months with a knee injury, can rally in time to play right tackle if Larry Borom remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

This is the right decision for Jenkins development.
