Does the #2 seed versus the #3 seed really even matter? Giving players a pseudo bye week is probably more beneficial that fighting for the bragging rights of being #2 or #3.

Didn't the Rams mess up their seeding last year with the week 18 loss to San Francisco?

I don't think it matters a whole lot with only one team getting a bye now.

I think JJ helps us retain the #2 seed!

The Vikings star wide receiver was held to just three receptions for 17 yards amid the hellish first half, which included a brief exit after getting slammed to the turf on a tackle, but Jefferson was instrumental in the comeback win, adding eight catches for 93 yards and a touchdown in the second half. Jefferson, per usual, flashed his tremendous route-running skills against respected Colts cornerback Stephon Gilmore for most of the game, and had the veteran on skates at the end of his 8-yard TD catch to start the fourth quarter. Of course, Jefferson's number was called in the most crucial moment of OT, hauling in a screen pass and gaining the necessary yardage to get into FG range.

Totaling 12 receptions for 123 yards and one score, Jefferson maintains his pace toward Calvin Johnson's single-season receiving record of 1,964 yards. With three games remaining (vs. NYG, at GB, at CHI), Jefferson's spectacular 2022 season goes forward with 1,623 total receiving yards, which currently leads the NFL.

if Jefferson averages 114 yards a game for the next three games, he beats Calvin's record by one yard.

if he averages 126 yards a game for the next three games, he ends up with 2,001 receiving yards.

How’s the Giants and Packers defenses. May be the only meaningful games left. if we win the next two are we guaranteed the second seed?

I hope Jefferson continues to work with Chad Johnson in the offseason, or even go work with Stefan Diggs. Jefferson’s route running has really taken a big step this year, but it could be even better. I still watch Diggs do things on his route running that just make your mind explode. If Jefferson could get to that level, oh boy!

feels like more like a basketball move, driving to the basket.

A lot of wide receivers will tell you that’s what good route running is.

Watch Diggs. There are a lot of times when he gets to the top of his route he’s basically doing a crossover move. Sometimes you’ll even spot him doing the hand motions like he’s got a basketball.
