Ruettgers, Verba, Clifton, Tauscher, Bulaga…Bakhtiari. Time marches on. Dave earned his money before he made it, and now there seems to be an inevitability to both sides being a little cold, a little cautious, and a little strategic over the last few dollars. But there won’t be any more playing time. He’s had a moment to think about living with the potential for more pain or less. I think he retires after the cut. Yeah, he has seemed a little warmer and supportive to the team. He’s a good guy. But if he wants back in as a player, Green Bay can help him find another team. How far past that? Not sure, but I think next year would be it in GB, another year for Walker or a draft pick to get stronger and ready to take the job in 2025.
