On one hand people are going to praise the Bills for taking such decisive action.  On the other you knew before you drafted him, and nothing has really changed since then, other than becoming public.  He still has not been charged.

And….he’s a rookie punter.  If it’s Josh Allen in those allegations, they’d find a way to keep him around while it all plays out.

I don’t know what evidence is out there in this case, but it doesn’t feel right that people can routinely get their life destroyed on basis of an accusation.

I understand being suspended with pay until it plays out or until an internal investigation is done.

It seems most people’s attitude is it is okay as long as it happens to someone else.  Or if the charge itself is serious enough.

Until it is you and you are innocent with the mob screaming for your demise before you have presented your side.  Then it will seem very unjust to you.

In some ancient law the accuser would suffer the fate the accused would have if the allegation was found to be falsely made.   There had to be two witnesses.  You were required to deliver the death blow yourself and most penalties were death.

That would make you think twice about lying about something serious.

If people were held accountable for making false allegations to this degree then 80% of all cops, lawyers, and judges would be dead by now.

Note there is a difference between being wrong or mistaken about something and intentionally lying or falsely accusing someone.

Bearing false witness is a serious offense.

oh I'm aware of the difference which is why my point still stands.

You can also be wrong and/or make an honest mistake and then lie about it under oath to save your own ***, and your buddies in the corrupted PD and court house will look out for you and help cover up as much as they can.  This isn't exactly breaking news.

You can also falsely accuse someone, then make an honest mistake after the fact, AND then lie about it. Take the Ryan Waller case for example. That poor kid is dead. But the POS officers, police chief, detective, lawyers and judge involved in the case when on to live happy lives.  Under your suggestion they would've all been executed.

The agent wrote this **** for Pelissero 100%. Even if their hope in not cutting Rudolph sooner was that someone would have a QB get hurt and need to make a desperation move, there were remarkably few QB injuries this preseason. PIT had Rudolph for 4 years and replaced him twice this offseason. Even out of town stupid has to see through this, right?

Related - I’m so happy we’re not in the place right now where we’re watching for guys like this at QB and actually contemplating bringing them on as some sort of “upgrade.”
